Laying Eco Porous Surfacing

These photographs show vegetable garden paths being surfaced in our eco-porous surfacing system.

The client was delighted, he could hose down his paths and the water and mud washed away through the surface leaving the area clean and bright.

Clearstone's eco porous surfacing is a two-part system:

1. First we lay a crumbed re-cycled rubber mixture directly on to a consolidated MOT type 3 sub-base to a depth of 20mm. We leave this to dry, which takes about 2 - 3 hours

2. We then mix and apply the top coat resin-bound aggregate mixture to the rubber surface, which is laid at 15mm. This sets to a hard finish with open voids across the surface, which allows water to filter through.

The results is a surface that water passes through quickly and easily with no loose stones.
