Resin bound maintenance and repairs
A resin bound surface that is properly looked after will perform well for many years. We offer a maintenance and repair service for both our own installations and surfaces installed by other companies. Whether you need a routine clean and inspection, a section made good after accidental damage, or advice on a surface that has developed a problem, we are happy to take a look and give you an honest assessment of what is needed.
Keeping your surface in good condition
Resin bound surfaces are low maintenance by design, but periodic care makes a noticeable difference to their longevity and appearance. We carry out maintenance visits that cover cleaning the surface, inspecting for any minor hairline cracks or stress fractures and addressing these before they develop into larger issues.
We provide every customer with a maintenance guide when we complete an installation. For customers who would prefer us to handle the upkeep directly, we offer scheduled maintenance visits.
We also extend this service to surfaces we did not install. If you have moved into a property with an existing resin surface and want it assessed, or if you want a second opinion on a surface that concerns you, we are happy to visit and advise.
Repairs and making good
Surfaces get damaged – not because of any failing in the material, but because life happens. A utility company cuts into a driveway to access a pipe. Scaffolding causes impact damage. A delivery vehicle clips an edge. When this occurs, we can make the affected area good.
We are experienced at matching colour blends to existing surfaces, often working from photographs where an exact specification is not available. Where a full replacement is not necessary or practical, we can overlay the existing surface with a new layer – restoring the appearance without the disruption of a full dig-out.
Can you repair a resin surface that was installed by a different company?
Yes. We carry out remedial work on surfaces installed by other companies as a regular part of what we do. We visit the site, assess what is there and give you an honest view of what is achievable and what it would cost – with no obligation. In most cases we can improve the surface significantly.
Is it possible to overlay an existing resin surface rather than replacing it?
In many cases, yes. Where the existing substrate is sound and the surface condition allows, we can apply a new layer of resin over the top. This restores the appearance and surface quality without the cost and disruption of a full dig-out. We assess suitability during the site visit.
How often does a resin bound surface need maintenance?
Resin bound surfaces are low maintenance by design. An annual wash down is usually sufficient to keep the surface clean and in good condition. We provide a maintenance guide with every installation, and our repair team is available if any section needs attention.
