Resin bound garden paths, steps and access

Resin bound surfacing is one of the most versatile materials available for garden design. It works for paths that thread between planting beds, steps that connect different levels, seating areas away from the house, and access routes to garages, outbuildings and side gates. Because it can be laid in almost any shape and comes in a wide range of colours, it integrates naturally into both formal and informal garden schemes without dominating them.

Resin in the garden

On larger properties, resin is often used throughout the whole garden scheme. The driveway at the front. A path along the side of the house. A seating area with a table and chairs. A route down to a pool or across to an outbuilding.

It works because it is a single, consistent material that ties everything together visually. And because it is porous, it handles drainage well even in areas with a lot of planting nearby.

It has become a go-to material for landscape designers because it gives flexibility. You can run it in any direction, any width, around any shape – it fits the garden rather than imposing on it.

Steps and access routes

Steps and sloped access areas need to look good and perform safely in wet conditions. The texture of the stone aggregate provides natural grip, and we can increase traction on any section where additional slip resistance is needed, using a specialist aggregate additive.

Access routes to garages, outbuildings and side gates all benefit from a surface that stays stable and clean in all weathers. Resin does not become muddy, does not scatter and requires minimal upkeep over its lifetime.
