Resin bound driveways by Clearstone
A resin bound driveway is one of the most rewarding improvements you can make to your home. It enhances the appearance of your property, requires very little maintenance and is built to perform for many years. Whether you are replacing an old concrete drive, worn block paving or an untidy gravel surface, we will assess the site, discuss your options and manage the entire project from groundworks through to the finished surface.
Why resin bound is the right choice
Block paving looks good when it is new. Within a few years, weeds establish in the joints, sections begin to move and the maintenance burden builds. Resin bound has no joints, no individual pieces to lift and no surfaces that shift.
Unlike loose gravel, the surface is fixed – nothing scatters, nothing tracks into the house. The surface is smooth and even underfoot, making it accessible for all ages and abilities, and fully permeable so rainwater drains straight through.
A good driveway matters more than it used to. It is the first thing anyone sees when they arrive at your home. Done well, it ties the whole frontage together.
How we work
We start with a site visit. One of our team will come out, assess what is there and give you an accurate quote – including a clear explanation of what is involved and what to expect on the day. We will walk you through the colour and finish options from our range.
All work is managed by us from start to finish. Groundworks are handled by trusted partner firms we have worked alongside for many years – but you deal with us throughout. One point of contact. One guarantee that covers everything.
How long does a resin bound driveway last?
A resin bound driveway installed on a sound base and properly maintained will typically last 20 years or more. Spread across that period, the cost per year is often much less than people expect – and considerably less than the ongoing maintenance costs of block paving or gravel.
Do I need planning permission for a resin bound driveway?
In most cases, no. Because resin bound paving is fully permeable, it meets the requirements for front driveway surfaces under permitted development rules – planning permission is not usually required. Conservation areas and listed buildings may differ. We can advise during your site visit.
Do you handle the groundworks, or just the resin surfacing?
We manage the whole project. Groundworks are carried out by trusted partner firms we have worked alongside for many years – but you deal with us throughout. One point of contact, one programme and one guarantee that covers everything.
